Dave Clarke
Since Dave Clarke's seminal debut album Archive 1 back in 1996 - containing perhaps dance music's greatest electronic anthem in Red 2 - he has gone on to be one of the world's most sought-after techno producers and almost certainly the genre's biggest DJ.
Dave's DJ residencies are hand picked affairs at some of the world's best clubs. He regularly plays at the UK's Bugged Out!, Pure, Atomic Jam and Headstart, Barcelona's Nitsa and Belgium's Fuse.
Travelling in the region of 800,000 miles per year, Dave collects air miles like some kids collect Pokemon cards.
Regular visits to the US over the last couple of years mean that another area of the world is falling for that famous Dave Clarke magic.
2000 looks likely to be his biggest DJing year yet with triumphant headline bookings at both Creamfields and Glastonbury already under his belt, as well as numerous high profile festival appearances around the world.
When he's not DJing in the world's most groundbreaking clubs Dave is in his studio producing his radio show Technology.
Radio is one of Dave's greatest loves and his show is syndicated around the world.
Other loves include dogs - he has two, Tek and Devo - cigars and fine wine.
Since the release of his last single Shake Your Booty in 1997 Dave's recording career has been temporarily put on hold - the record companies got in the way.
However the DJ has flexed his studio muscles in the last twelve months via remixes of Moby, Underworld, DJ Rush, Jark Prongo and most famously Leftfield's Phat Planet.
Mixes of both Kernkraft 500's Zombie Nation and Laurent Garnier's Greed have also kept both clubbers and DJs happy.
Dave has also done a mix album for Fuse and plans to do a definitive double mix CD in the early part of 2001.
He's also just signed a deal with London based internet company iCrunch and releases the first of two new tracks exclusively on the internet tomorrow. (Friday, September 29th.)
