Prophets Of Sound

The Prophets Of Sound consist of 2 members including Dylan Barnes (who shares a studio with Simon of Basement Jaxx and Helicopter fame), and Jem Panufnik (whose credits include Soul Of Man, Osmosis and a string of production credits for Fingor Lickin' Records, the label he is also a partner of).

The track was licenced from Sunflower Records after huge popularity from limited van sales. Sounding like a cross between The Pianoheadz 'Distortion' & Basement Jaxx (surprisingly). ['Fly Life". As usual Distinct'ive have put together a blinding mix package whlcn includes Prophets Of Sound'. own "Outta Space Radio fldlt" a surefire radio favourite coming to a frequency near you soon. We've also added a vocal to the original to maximise the appeal right across the board then there's the 'Dillon and Dickens Disciple Mix' a cool mix faintly reminiscent of David Morales' The Face, which without doubt will quickly become a dancefloor monster in clubs all over the UK before you know it. Prophets Of Sound wind things up in a big time killer stylee with their own extended instrumental version.

Initial response has been top.. from just 10 TP's we've had a Pete Tong exclusive and 'High' has entered the Mixmag Buzz Chart at no 11, it's no 1 in Alistair Whiteheads Galaxy network radio show, and Multiply, Stress and London all wanted to sign and release the track.

'High' is accompanied bv a video that is both original, brilliantly produced and will without a doubt pick up many terrestrial broadcasts and will stick in your head. I will put my house... well skip (it is detached though!!), on an MTV playlist just for starters.
