Transa

Transa are brothers Dave (right) Brendan Webster. Originally from Lancashire, they moved North of the border to Aberdeen some 15 years ago.Working in the Oil industry for several years and writing music at night, they played local venues with their early material until discovered by Hook Recordings in 95.

Influenced at a very early age by the likes of "Oxygen" from Jean Michelle Jarre and later Depeche Mode, at the age's of 12 & 15 they bought their first synth & have been writing and remixing professionally for 4 years; equipped now with an impressive studio of their own.

Transa's first release on Hook "Prophase/ Interphase" in April 96 gained vast amounts of club & radio play from top DJ's such as Judge Jules & Nick Warren, this track was later picked up by Perfecto in August 97 giving it even greater exposure.

Transa's 2nd Hook release came in the shape of "Enervate & Perpetua" and as intended was a track that had a colossal effect on dance floors around the world. Paul Oakenfold later licensed it for his Perfecto Fluoro label; releasing at the beginning of February 98 it brushed the national charts top 40, peaking at no. 29 in official mid week figures. With their impeccable production skills & un-comparable style, it goes without saying that Transa is a name you'll be hearing a lot more of in the future & are a force to be reckoned with in the field of hard epic trance.
