HISTORY

Having been into dance music since the late nineties and regularly visiting most of Cardiff's underground dance events such as Time Flies, Escape and The Hippo Club.

In 2001, after attending a mad house party after a night out, Jamie caught the bug after being shown how to mix and about four months later found himself on the opposite side of the turntables.

Jamie started his DJing career one Thursday evening at The Philharmonic Pub in Cardiff, where he played alongside Dale Rees (Lamerica) he progressed very quickly, and soon found himself playing at many of Cardiff’s top night spots, including Funkydory @ The Slug and Lettuce, and Gloss @ Elements, Cardiff.

Jamie has become a resident DJ with Offitsface.com and has recently played at some major events around the UK, including Slinky @ Creation (Bristol), Perversity @ The Venue (Edinburgh), Play @ Moloko (Cardiff) and Bionic @ The Emporium (Cardiff).

FUTURE

Jamie has just landed a weekly residency at Amoeba in Clifton, Bristol every Friday. He can also be seen playing at future nights alongside Play @ Moloko (Cardiff), Smile @ Studio 33 (London), Footgroover @ The Bush (Swansea) and Funkydory @ The Slug and Lettuce (Cardiff).

Jamie’s style concentrates on the more funky vocal side of house music, and has been known to slip the odd Disco track into his mixes. Jamie’s main influences are the likes of Joey Negro, John Julius Knight, Frankie Knuckles and Bob Povey. His favorite labels include Swing City, Soulfuric, Defected, Subliminal, Slip 'n' Slide, Gossip, Henry Street and Look At You.

Jamie has a growing fan base, and a diary starting to fill up, the future looks bright. Wherever he plays he gets re-booked again and again which must be a positive reflection on his performance!!
