Ru is a relative newcomer to the scene, only discovering house music three years ago when he attended a Lamerica NYE party in Cardiff featuring Jazzy M. A native New Zealander, Ru started djing after curiosity got the better of him and he invested in a pair of decks for his 18th birthday.
Since day one it's been all about house music for Ru, who sights notable jocks such as veterans CJ Mackintosh, Deep Dish and XPress 2 as his all time favourite spinners. Production wise, Ru supports the new of the new wave British producers such as Copyright and the Audiowhores, as well as more established talent across the pond, Jay J, Hernandez, Chris Lum and the Soulfuric crew.
Grooving chunky house with feeling is Ru's trademark, with a view to stylised sets that build and lift a crowd, encompassing vocal, twisted and balearic, and always keeping it funky.

Ru has been cutting his teeth on the Cardiff club scene for over a year now, holding a residency at Gloss! and guesting at Play Moloko, Extension @ Bar Med, Funkydory @ The Slug and Lettuce, Bar Ice, and Bionic at the Emporium.
A recent move to London has seen ru seeking to establishing himself in East London, with plays at Spirit Bar, Soma, and the London Student Union as well as a few cheeky free parties.
This summer looks set to be Ru's busiest ever,and with forthcoming gigs at The Glasshouse (London) and the internationally renound Turnmills, in addition to music production projects, the future is looking up for Ru.
