C.N Williams was eventually headhunted by label giants Pinnacle, initially looking after their largest money spinner ‘Jive Records’, home to artists such as Britney Spears and N Sync. From here he used his experience, knowledge and passion to help and develop new dance labels and talent.
In 2002 Clifford felt it was time to finance and manage his own label. As a successful DJ and respected label manager he had the lead in his field. “I wanted to create a label that was dedicated to the music that we actually play, one which incorporated all genres of music that fall under the US garage and funky house umbrella”.
Reel House Productions was born and the first year was an amazing success. Their debut release ‘The JB Experience – I Like it Like That’ became an instant favourite amongst the clubbers and from that moment on the vinyl buying public got right behind the label. Reel House followed this up with releases from Zhara, Jamecia Bennett, ALJay and have recently signed Welsh producers Battery Park.
2003 and there are working projects lined up with Jocelyn Brown’s company ‘Its All Good Music Ltd’ and joint ventures in the US and UK with Basement Boys. The release schedule for 2003 is guaranteed to cause a stir with remixes and tracks from US2, Soulsonic, Battery Park, Escape Committee and an exclusive release from US legend Lenny Fontana and Byron Stingily.
Not only does C.N Williams have an incredibly successful label, he has set up the innovative Reel House Production van service. The service was introduced to supply specialist dance shops in and around London with promos and product from labels such as Defected, Azuli and Ministry of Sound to name but a few.
“The Reel House van service was set up in conjunction with the contracts we secured with 3 major UK record companies; Pinnacle, 3MV and 4AM to provide their product directly and swiftly off of our Reel House vans”.
Reel House Productions is constantly growing and with more people experiencing the Reel House flavour, this label looks set to become the global reference for the very best in US garage and funky house.
