South and West Wales

Swansea and The Gower Peninsular

Going West from Porthcawl, past Port Talbot steelworks is Swansea. There are a few small bays - Langland is the most commonly surfed which works on a medium sized swell and can be excellent at times.

[secret spot around the gower area]

On the south side of the Gower there are loads of secret reef breaks (and they will remain secret). Check out an ordnance survey map and you can find them yourselves. The bays and beaches are better known, with Oxwich Bay (South East facing) being the choice spot at high tide on a very big swell.
